Nutclough Housing Co-operative purchased the Nutclough Tavern in December 2002.
We have eight residents,, each with our own small private space on the first floor of this old Tavern. On the ground floor we have our communal living space, and a treatment room with separate access.
We have a beautiful Studio, which is a great space used by ourselves, guests and the local community.
Our garden is large and terraced to make best use of the hillside space, which we use to grow fruit and vegetables following permaculture principles. We also love to socialise and share it with our local community.
Our evening meals are mostly communal vegetarian delights, frequently shared with guests and visitors. We welcome visits from members of other Co-operatives and love to share our knowledge of the local flora and fauna as well as the history of our area.
Nutclough Housing Co-operative is a member of Radical Routes, a network of co-operatives working for social change.
